	June Supercar Competition Winners Announced We are very pleased to announce that the winners (yes plural!) of the June Supercar competition were a syndicate of four friends from County Mayo, Ireland -Derek Giblin, Conor O' Flaherty, Michael Ryan and Andrew Malee. The story behind this competition is an unusual one. Four friends from County Mayo in Ireland decided to put their skill to test at our Birmingham Airport stand, purchasing four tickets between them, each choosing one set of co-ordinates. Upon receiving the phone call from our Commercial Director Rupert Garton (listen here), Derek Giblin was desperate to find out they which one of them had actually chosen the winning spot (the answer was scribbled on their receipt where they had recorded who had picked each ticket!) We finally discovered after much searching that it was in fact Michael Ryan who picked the winning coordinates, but like the true gentleman that he is, he has decided to split the cash alternative equally between his friends. We are delighted that they will be looking to upgrade their fleet of cars and celebrate with a pint of Guinness (or three!). If you want to see how well you did, click here.

How the Winner of the Car Competition is Selected

The winner of the competition is determined using a computerised 'spot the ball' competition which you will enter as part of the ticket buying process. You will be shown a photograph that has had the ball removed from it. You must use your skill and judgement to decide where you think the centre of the ball would logically have been. Your chosen point will be recorded as an X and Y coordinate. At the end of the competition the same picture is shown to a professional sporting judge in the presence of a lawyer and he marks (in exactly the same way) where in his professional opinion he thinks the centre of the ball ought to have been. The winner is the person who is closest to the judge's position.
